We might survive....

What a week that we just had! Daxton was diagnosed on Monday, the 16th, with RSV, and he's finally coming around. Thank goodness we were able to keep him out of the hospital. He still gets ornery and tired, but I'd say he's about 98% back. So between his tubes and adenoids that we had done earlier this month and this, he's met his sick quota for at least 6 months.

Dave went in on Wednesday for another round of Lithotripsy (SP?), we say that if he could be awake during the procedure we could do it from home because we'd have it down by now. I seriously have lost track but I think this was his 6th time. We've found a new doctor so we are hopeful that he'll have different advice to keep the kidney stones from coming back. The surgery isn't the funnest in the world, but I think it's a lot better than passing the stones naturally.

We were feeling good and that we made it, until Saturday when both me and Dave came down with the crap. You never know how nice it is to breathe through your nose until you can't, or how great it is to not have your sinuses feel as if they are about to explode. Thank heavens for Mucinex D and Vicks vapor rub. I just wished that we had softer tissues.

So I'm hoping that this week goes a little smoother, but is that Darci coughing and sneezing I hear?...

Dax being cute

These are just two pictures of Dax being funny. Poor kids, I guess he'll have to get used to being dressed up, growing up with 2 older sisters. We'll make sure he never grows up to have long blonde hair.

Then he has his "cool kid" moments, don't mess with a boy and his sipper cup!

Boys will be boys.....

We had Dave's family over for the Super Bowl and Daxton and our nephew Tyson had a great time wrestling. Tyson is 3 weeks older than Dax, but Dax has Ty by about 10 lbs. Don't you worry Ty, growing up with Cody, has learned to hold his own. We look forward to them growing up friends, but are scared to death of what they'll do, because we know that boys will be boys. Cody then had to make sure that he got his camera time, funny boy!

Better Late Than Never...

My New Year resolution was to join the world of blogging. Well here we are in February and I finally started. I think that this is a great way to keep in touch and not have to feel guilty when you haven't talked to someone in a while. I often think that my life is pretty boring, but the days seem to pass by pretty fast and when I look back I don't have a lot of dull moments. Between work and the kids and keeping a household from falling apart my time is gone. Dave helps a lot with things, but come on we all know that the mom's are the glue!

Kyra plays competitive soccer and has really jumped into Junior High with both feet always trying new things. She's great with keeping us involved with her life and knowing what's going on, but when you don't live in the same house you still always miss stuff.

Darci is still trying to decide if she wants to play soccer again or go back to dancing, I told her that she can only do one thing at a time. I struggle to come up with the words to describe Darci. She is our drama queen, little soldier, princess, and tom boy all in one. She loves to tell you how it is and doesn't hold anything back. We're now trying to teach her that she doesn't have to say EVERYTHING that comes to her mind. I love that she's so open and her own person, but in public it can be a little embarrassingly.

Daxton is becoming our little man. I swear it was yesterday that he was just a blob that stayed put where I laid him. Now he runs, jumps, plays, and talks (well sort of). It has always amazed me to see children grow and develop their personalities and experience the world. So as you can see we don't have a lot of dull moments and seize every moment to just slow down and relax.
