Halloween 2009
This year was a calm quiet year, which was nice. We had a get together at mom and dad's then I took the kids trick or treating with Jake, Brit and Superman, aka Joey.

My baby is 2, Ugh!!!!!
Well it didn't work, I tried to act like this day was not going to happen, and it did!!! My Daxton Arthur turned 2 today. I can't believe that 2 yrs has passed since he came into our family.
He is a boy through and through, he loves to play with trucks, and balls, and to wrestle, and loves being outside, but even with all that he's my baby boy. He loves to have his owees kissed better and to give the biggest hugs and kisses.
This year we did his birthday in two shifts. His Mammo Bear has a birthday right by his so we celebrated her "29th" birthday and his on Saturday and then with the other side of the family on Sunday.
I've thoroughly enjoyed that last two years and hope that the ones to come will be even better!!!
Love you budda boy!!!
Girls just want to have fun
So thanks to my Aunt Sally, most of my family was able to get tickets to go see Wicked when it came to Salt Lake. I'm still in awe over the production. It was AMAZING!!!!! I vaguely knew the storyline before going, but was surprised to see how it all fell into place with the Wizard of Oz.
I've decided that for Dave and my 10 year anniversary I'd like to go to California to see Wicked there.
The girls said that they enjoyed it, but I'm sure I did more. Not just for the play but I haven't been able to have a daughter date for a LONG time.

Easter and Family Fun
So it's been a while, but I can say that things are going good. We are all happy that Spring has arrived and the kids have been having a ball being able to play outside. Darci is already sporting a nice tan (darn her!).
Easter was a lot of fun with Dax now being big enough to understand the idea of egg hunting. The family got a Wii fit and I can say we've all had fun seeing how out of shape we are and getting our butt kicked by a computer.
This last Monday I was able to go a field trip with Darci's class to a local farm. I realized that I have not outgrown my allergies and I remember what the country really smells like. Dax was funny, he will hardly touch our dogs, but he couldn't get enought of the farm animals. How can I break it too him that we will not be getting a dairy cow anytime soon!
And for all the world to see our bowling scores from last week....I beat Dave!!!!

We might survive....
What a week that we just had! Daxton was diagnosed on Monday, the 16th, with RSV, and he's finally coming around. Thank goodness we were able to keep him out of the hospital. He still gets ornery and tired, but I'd say he's about 98% back. So between his tubes and adenoids that we had done earlier this month and this, he's met his sick quota for at least 6 months.
Dave went in on Wednesday for another round of Lithotripsy (SP?), we say that if he could be awake during the procedure we could do it from home because we'd have it down by now. I seriously have lost track but I think this was his 6th time. We've found a new doctor so we are hopeful that he'll have different advice to keep the kidney stones from coming back. The surgery isn't the funnest in the world, but I think it's a lot better than passing the stones naturally.
We were feeling good and that we made it, until Saturday when both me and Dave came down with the crap. You never know how nice it is to breathe through your nose until you can't, or how great it is to not have your sinuses feel as if they are about to explode. Thank heavens for Mucinex D and Vicks vapor rub. I just wished that we had softer tissues.
So I'm hoping that this week goes a little smoother, but is that Darci coughing and sneezing I hear?...

Dax being cute
Boys will be boys.....
We had Dave's family over for the Super Bowl and Daxton and our nephew Tyson had a great time wrestling. Tyson is 3 weeks older than Dax, but Dax has Ty by about 10 lbs. Don't you worry Ty, growing up with Cody, has learned to hold his own. We look forward to them growing up friends, but are scared to death of what they'll do, because we know that boys will be boys. Cody then had to make sure that he got his camera time, funny boy!
